11 years 8 months ago - 11 years 8 months ago #220323 by techbranchsm
Are you familiar with Community Builder Profile Pro from joomduck?
www.joomduck.com/products/community-builder-profile-pro.html

This allows administer to create a custom looking TAB layout. Is there any Joomlapolis tools to do this?

If not, do you know of any compatibility issues with using this component to layout my TAB's

Thanks

CB Conditional can create different profile types by conditional show/hiding fields/tabs based off another fields. CB also comes with plenty of tab positions for you to move tabs to and have whatever display you like. See the position dropdown when editing a tab for the various positions. You can also edit the default template php file for a tab position map showing how the positions are setup.

I've no experience with CB Profile Pro nor are we its developers, so questions regarding it we can not help you with. Users have reported various compatible issues using it, mainly broken registrations, but I've no idea if that was due to bad configuration/usage of the plugin or if such issues have been fixed or not; basically use at ones own risk.

Thanks for the quick response. I was trying to actually re-arrange the location of the fields inside a tab.
Also allow more space for titles of fields, currently things are all bunched up on the left.

Like this:

Redfish Size
in inches: -

Where I would like to be able to do this:

Redfish Size in inches: -

You can do this by changing field order within CB > Field Management.

Where I would like to be able to do this:

That's just basic CSS. Right click and inspect the title with Chrome or Firebug for Firefox for the field title CSS. Example as follows.
Code:
.cbProfile .cb_form_line label { width: 38%; } .cbProfile .cb_tab_content .cb_form_line .cb_field { width: 60%; }

Normally it's best to add to the bottom of your Joomla template CSS file as it's least likely to change.
