hello

I wondering how many time a session is active when the user login (using of course CB Login module) and when the option "Remember-me checkbox" is hidden-enabled.

It seems that the session can last for days and days without problem..but how many exactly? I don't see any time duration except default Joomla settings who have nothing to do with "Remember-me checkbox".

thank

I use Joomla 3.3.6 - CB 2.0.4 - CBSubs 4 - Several Incubator plugins

CB doesn't handle sessions, Joomla does; so whatever your Joomla session duration is set to is what CB will use. CB also passes off the remember me value to Joomla for Joomla to handle. Note remember me won't do anything if the cookie is cleared in your browser, which is common when closing your browser. Joomla session duration can be extended within your Joomla global configuration (this is done in minutes, default I believe is 15).

Replied by dotcom22 on topic What is the default CB duration session time ?
In my case I setup Joomla with a session duration of "240" that mean 4 hours. So if I'm logged and I don't make any activity on the site during this time, the session last for 4 hours before auto-logout. Now if I close my browser and re-open it the next day (that mean more than 4 hours after) I'm always connected...

In my case this situation is what I need because I want keep users always connected (except of course if they click on logout button) even if they close their browser.

I noticed this situation is apply also on Joomlapolis where I'm always logged for days and days. But sometime (after a unknown amount of time), I must login again reason why I asked you this question..

Any more clue ?

That's "Remember Me" working.

In my case this situation is what I need because I want keep users always connected (except of course if they click on logout button) even if they close their browser.

Set the session duration to 48 hours this way it only expires their session if they're inactive for 2 days straight. This helps get around the fact that many users clear cookies and lose the benefit of "Remember Me" features.

I noticed this situation is apply also on Joomlapolis where I'm always logged for days and days. But sometime (after a unknown amount of time), I must login again reason why I asked you this question..

I've no idea, as I've explained Joomla handles all of this.
