Install Problem was created by natemfx
installing the CB Quickstart 1.5 Pro package using Joomla Extension Manager.

Hosting is on a GoDaddy shared server environment.

The installer shows it uploading through to 100% and then shows the following:

Warning

Did anything install? That's a permissions issue, which your host will need to help you with. Normal permissions are usually 755 or 775 for folders and 644 or 664 for files. Try installing CB or any of its plugins manually. Also note you need to have your maximum upload limit set in PHP.ini pretty high as the package is large.

Thanks, Krileon

Problem seems to be with GoDaddy.com who is offering a major bait-and-switch sales effort to lure in Joomla websites.

Sometime late last year they made an internal change which makes it *impossible* to alter any permissions within the root directory.

Their solution is to up-sell you to a vastly more expensive virtual server solution.

Pathetic.

That's unfortunate. Surely you should be able to change folder permissions with your FTP client. You should have root access to your website (you of course can't have server root if are on shared hosting). You can also try setting up FTP within Joomla global configuration which helps with permission problems as well, but I've never had too much luck getting that configured properly (may want to check Joomla documentation).
