Problem when posting a reply

Problem when posting a reply was created by framland
hi guys a couple of questions. When i post a reply a white screen appears after i click "submit" but if i then refresh the page the reply has been posted, any ideas?
Also can i set the number of characters (words)to replies in Group Jive?

Appears to be working fine in all my tests. Do you have wall post approval enabled? Have you tested with debug mode enabled and maximum error reporting set in Joomla global configuration to expose errors?

Also can i set the number of characters (words)to replies in Group Jive?

Yes, but it affects all wall posts and not just replies. Within GJ > Config > Integrations > Wall > Posts you can set a "Input Limit".

sorry i'm not too clued up on that sort of thing, i know posts are not needing admin approval, would you be able to tell me what to do or have a look yourself?
I have adjusted the character limit now thanks for the info. I am a little confused with settings i am only just noticing like paging etc. I would really appreciated if you could have a look at my settings to see if things are as they should be as i don't understand many settings.

Navigate to Site > Global Configuration > System and set "Debug System" to "Yes". Now Navigate to Site > Global Configuration > Server and set "Error Reporting" to "Maximum". Now re-test and see if any errors occur when replying.

I would really appreciated if you could have a look at my settings to see if things are as they should be as i don't understand many settings.

We do not do install review at users request. We only review if a bug is preset. You need to perform the regular debug steps to see if any errors are occurring for me to have probable cause to review. Alternative is to purchase our installation services if you want us to configure it for you.

All the settings have descriptions of what they do. All the settings are located in relation to their usage as well. Please read and review carefully.

i set the debug and error settings as you said and the reply to a post went through and displayed properly although these were visible

Are you on PHP 5.4? If so please contact your host and switch to PHP 5.3 if possible. Those are just strict standards warnings though and shouldn't cause any sort of blank pages. I have not yet tested GJ on PHP 5.4 to resolve strict standards warnings.
