User can't update profile

User can't update profile was created by nijan
Hello,

I have something strange. The web site is offline.

When super admin is logged on he can update his profile but not other profile.
When registered user is logged on he can't update his profile.

I have no error message but the db isn't updated.

I have the web site installed in local and I don't have this phenomenon.


Do you have an idea ? Access or something wrong ?

Enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration then try to update your profile and see if any fatal errors are present.

I don't see any fatal errors.

It is very strange because I altered an existing user to super admin and he can't update his own profile. The first super admin has no problem to update his own profile but he can't update other profile.

I don't really understand the difference between the 2 super admin users.

Maybe a link with the fact that the site is offline ??

Additional info. Any profile can changes his avatar.

If a user is admin he can edit article without any problem but he can't update his CB profile.

Are you using CB Conditional or something of the sort that could disable fields? Disable non-core CB plugins 1 by 1 until it resolves. If issue persists disable all 3rd party Joomla User plugins and see if resolved.

Hi Krileon,

CB conditional is under control. In fact my pannels works fine. The problem occurs only when updating the profile. Nothing happens and the user cames back to the profile update page. When Super Admin update his own profile, I have the message that the profile is updated successfully and the use cames back to his profile page view (and not update).

Do you know what I mean ? So I think the CB conditional has nothing to do here. And for information I don't worj with other 3rde User Joomla extension.

Finaly I only use CB Auto Actions for Query and I had the problem before implementing CB Auto Actions.

I think the User Admin profile's has something different that other user profile but I don't see what ?!

I'll have a look as you suggest it but I'm not sure the problem is there.
