URL problem was created by sirweb
Hi,
Using CB 1.9 on J! 2.5.9.

I have an unwanted behaviour when clicking on a user in a User List, the URL is redirected from the Menu/List to the Profile URL, which means the menu where the List item is disappears.

The User Lists are located in a split menu, 2nd level, and the profile page is in different menu.

What suggestions do you have to heep the menu module in place after clicking in on a profile? (Keep the User List menu ItemID)

Hope you understand the question...

You can't as CB will always use the profile menu link Itemid. Best I can suggest is disable userlist linking within CB > Configuration > User List then use a delimiter field with substitutions to construct links to the users profile manually. Example delimiter field contents as follows.

<a href="index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userprofile&user=[user_id]&Itemid=YOUR_ITEMID_HERE">[username]</a>

Then display the new delimiter field on the userlist. User would then have to click that link to go to the users profile as the entire row won't be clickable anymore.

Thanks for your suggestion. This may work on smaller sites.
It involves a lot of editing in the user profiles.

I have 5100+ users so I guess custom coding is the only option then.

Kind regards
Sune

You don't have to edit anyones profile. A delimiter field outputs the substitution supported HTML you supply, not what users supply. The link I provided is also dynamic based off the users id so it's a situation of setup and done.
