Please point me into the right direction: I'm using CB Auto Actions to auto assign ACL to 2 group of users; and conditional plugin to show/hide applicable fields during their registration. Is there a way to also send different welcome emails to each group?
Thanks,
AZ

CB Auto Actions does not conditional show/hide fields. You need to use CB Conditional for that. Once installed simply edit your fields and configure a conditional for them.

As for the welcome emails yes this can be done. Create 2 new Email actions using the after registration trigger. If the groups are usergroups then just select 1 in each action for the Access parameter. If the groups are a CB field then just add a conditional to match the field (e.g. [cb_group] Equal To 1). Next set the To address to email substitution so it'll send to their email address; the remainder of the configuration is self explanatory (subject, body, etc..).

Krileon - thanks for the reply. Could you please clarify something for me: once I create the email actions, what happens to the welcome email set in configuration? will it also be triggered and sent or the actions override that?
One more: if I have set Pending Approval Email in configuration and want to follow that part of user confirming their identity first before the 'welcome email' is sent (in our case the two emails to the two ACL groups) - what should I do?
Thanks
Best,

Yes, you'll need to disable it by blanking out its subject and body within CB > Configuration > Registration and that'll stop CB from sending a Welcome email so only your CB Auto Actions emails will be used.

You want User Approval to happen before the email sends? Yes, this is possible to; simply use the after user approval trigger from the triggers dropdown (under Frontend & Backend) instead of after registration trigger.

Thanks Krileon.
OK - I see that I can suppress the email sending by blanking the fields in CB > Config > Reg.
What if I want to send the information that is captured within the [DETAILS] (username,pw, email) - I have tried to add the placeholder in the body Auto Actions, but it just returns the "[DETAILS]" word (without substituting it with the actual data) when email is sent. What should I use to pass the information in that Auto Actions email?
Thanks,
AZ
