Hideho,

i wanted to have several fields only being presented to the user if he has the correct usertype.

So i created a CB Field which is usertype, filling it with four usertypes. Now i wanted to present various fields only to one or two specific usertypes. Therefore i installed CB conditionals. I checkd the various options, set them, and found out, that Joomla doesn't seem to care about the settings. When i want to edit the field in CB Fieldmanager, the CB conditional fields are gone, so i cannot edit my settings.
Weird...

So, how can i solve this?

Thanks for help.
Best

Don't understand, Joomla has nothing to do with CB Conditionals. CB Conditionals is for CB fields only. Once installed and enabled you edit your fields within CB > Field Management and add conditionals to them as needed. Normally Conditional Self works best instead of Conditional Others, but it's up to you.

Perhaps i wasn't very clear in my original Posting.

As a matter of fact, i am talking about CB. I create a new field in CB and want to have a condition on that, to only show it, if another field has the value xyz

Then i save that CB Field, and it won't work. When i open that CB Field to check whether the conditions are correct, it won't show me the condition panel anymore.

So help is truly appreciated.

You need to ensure CB Conditional is enabled within CB > Plugin Management. Once done edit your field within CB > Field Management and set it for Conditional Self. Now select the field you want to condition off of, the operator to user (probably equal to), and the value to match (e.g. xyz) then set its mode to Show or Hide as needed. Now save the field and you're done.

Well,

the point was, it wasn't enabled (shame on me) but interestingly enough, i could set it for conditional self and edit the settings. But this panel wouldn't come back, after saving and opening the field for editing again.

But got you, and it is working like intended.

Thanks!
