Privacy plugin was created by Sarah_au
I just downloaded the new privacy plugin but it won't install. I get the error message that the installation file cannot be found.
Yes I used the CB plugin manager.
I am using CB 1.8 with joomla 2.5.8

It's CB 1.9+ only. Please upgrade and it'll install fine through CB > Plugin Management.

oh right thanks.
I have a problem with downloading a file that size though because I am currently on a real bad isp and it cuts out half way through. I have noticed that half the size of the file is the pdf doc so was wondering if you could split the file for me as I really need my members to be able to suspend or close their accounts at will.

Try our package builder below as it should be a little more lightweight.

www.joomlapolis.com/downloads/cb-package-builder

Simply click Community Builder then scroll down and click Download then install it through Joomla extension manager (it'll install CB and its modules for you).

Sorry for the delay in replying but had a virus to get rid of that wouldn't let me stay on the forum long enough.
Anyway if I do as you say wouldn't it overwrite the current installation and all the extensions and users I have installed?

No, it simply installs CB and the plugins you've selected. If existing installs of CB and those plugins are present then they're simply upgraded. No data is lost during this process, but it's always good to make a backup just to be safe.
