Unfortunately, this combination doesn't seem to work well.

You'll need to contact your templates developer as they're not styling CB. They need to either style CB or create a CB template that'll style CB to match the Joomla template.

Please see the below regarding translations and language file usages.

Well,

i contacted them and i am interested, what they are going to say.

On behalf of the translation:

Both seem to be v 1.8, and i am wondering, that, as you see in the screenshots,standard phrases like Next, Previous or Step doesn't seem to be translated.

I am a little confused, of what to do next, so is there a file, which has all languagefile changes from 1.8 to 1.9 listed?

Thanks again.

For step by step you need to add new language strings to your CB language files, which can be found below.

components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/

By default the default_language is present, but you shouldn't edit it and instead download the English language plugin below and edit it (CB 1.9 language plugin is there too).

forge.joomlapolis.com/projects/lan-cb-en/files

Once installed you can add language strings for step by step as exampled below.

'Step 1' => 'First Step',
'Step 2' => 'Second Step',
'Next' => '>',
'Previous' => '<',
'Register' => 'Submit'

I am a little confused, of what to do next, so is there a file, which has all languagefile changes from 1.8 to 1.9 listed?

I don't believe so, no. Best way to compare language files is using a program like WinMerge which will do a DIFF of the files and see what is different between them.
