Two CBSubs questions was created by TBDESP
First question; is it possible to set a custom duration for a membership (i.e. 60 hours or 2.5 days) - and how would one do it if so?

Second Question; I would like to have two separate registration forms, each with a different set of subscriptions displayed. What is the best way to accomplish this?

As an example, I will have two membership types... merchants and clients. each membership type will have multiple subscription levels, i.e. daily, weekend, weekly, monthly, etc. I wish for the primary registration form to have only the 'client' plans displayed. A separate registration form, not exactly hidden but tucked away in the appropriate portion of the site, will have only the 'merchant' plans displayed. Each registration page should also have differing profile fields available (and/or required) on the registration form.

You can't. The durations available in the dropdown are the only durations supported at this time.

Second Question; I would like to have two separate registration forms, each with a different set of subscriptions displayed. What is the best way to accomplish this?

Use direct plan URLs. When editing your plans a URL is provided at the top that links directly to that plan. You can have Joomla menu links with these URLs, a Joomla article with them, etc.. You could then set on the workflows tab for fields to be hidden by these plans so only relevant fields to the plan will display.

For this you'd set your Merchant plans to only show if directly linked to (configured on workflows tab). This way they'd need to access the plans direct URL to purchase the merchant plans. You can hide registration fields on a plan by plan basis by selecting fields to hide on the workflows tab of your plans. To protect fields in profile view/edit you'll need to use CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection.

Thank you, but I am not certain I understand one part; if I link directly to a plan, it would only be a single plan, yes? Is there a way to have multiple plans grouped together, so that all of the Merchant plans are on a single page? Perhaps within a Joomla article? I looked in the manual but must have missed this part - where would I find more info on how to do this?

Yes and no, it depends on the URL structure used.

Is there a way to have multiple plans grouped together, so that all of the Merchant plans are on a single page?

Absolutely, separate multiple plan IDs when using a Plan URL with -. Example as follows shows plans 1 and 2.

index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=pluginclass&plugin=cbpaidsubscriptions&do=displayplans&plans=1-2

Perhaps within a Joomla article?

Yup, you can add the links anywhere you like. Even External Joomla menu link if you want.

Thank you, that is what I needed to know!

I have another different question; I want to allow members to 'upgrade' their profile with image galleries, videos, and other profile add-ons/plugins. I want to charge them for these upgrades. I want to give some subscribers discounts (10% off all upgrades if a lifetime member, for example) - how would I go about doing this?

You can give them more content by simply protecting said content with a CBSubs Plan. For example you can provide a gallery to your users using CB ProfileGallery. You can then restrict it to subscribers only by protecting the tab with your plan using CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection plugin.

To give a discount to existing subscribers you can create a promotion using CBSubs Promotions that is an always applied coupon (no coupon code necessary) that checks if their subscription to XYZ plan is active. Discount can be whatever amount you like (static value or percent).
