Try to avoid negative numbers. The greater the negative number the higher up it'll be. Example as follows with negative ordering.

-5 is 1
-4 is 2
-3 is 3
-2 is 4
-1 is 5

Yes we do, input custom order then click the save icon at the top in the ordering column header. We also have the arrows directly next to the ordering input which also works. Fields are first ordered by the tab they are on then they are ordered by their individual ordering.
