how can I change the auto join text field to display more than 4 groups in the registration page? and if you fill out the registration field and put the wrong invite code or the coupon code is invalid and you click register you have to fill every thing out again. Can that be fixed that? could loose a customer

Edit the field and adjust "Size:" as needed.

Shouldn't have to, most fields should re-populate with whatever data they supplied unless something is interrupting this process.

CB > Field Management > Your Field > "Size:". I don't know what more to advise, sorry. It's directly there on the field edit page of your field. You had to of done this already as it does not create Auto Join fields on install, they're manually created.
