Internet Explorer 10 had a problem, the second field - surname required a double click otherwise it would not accept any entries. If IE compatibility mode was enabled worked with no problem.
Disabling auto actions, privacy, antispam had no effect.
HOWEVER earlier in May we upgraded the bootstrap template from 2.0.5 to 2.1.0 AND upgraded from IE 9 to 10.
The default template in CB configuration was bootstrap. Changed default template from bootstrap back to "Default" and IE 10 and registration works fine.
Will rollback Bootstrap to 2.0.5 and advise. Have rolled back to Bootstrap 2.0.5 still problem with IE 10 ONLY. There was no problem whatsoever with IE 9 and bootstrap.
The fact that the problem is IE 10 only and disappears if compatibility mode is enabled makes us suspect that the problem is solely IE 10 related

It's just some basic CSS so I can't imagine why not.
