Enable debug mode and maximum error reporting then try again and see if any further information about the error is exposed. This is likely a upload memory limit issue or a permissions issue. Ensure your upload limit is at least 4M (adjusted via PHP.ini, please contact your host for help on changing this). You can typically find your upload limit within System > System Information > PHP Information > upload_max_filesize. Also ensure Directory Permissions are all green within the same location.
