No, they got rid of @Anywhere which allowed this. They then got rid of API to translate Twitter ID to Username and only way is through a full profile lookup, which is rate limited so can't be used for a field. Normally this would be done through an Embeded timeline and can still be done through one (use a twitter widget field set to custom then supply the code needed), but during registration you'll need to map the twitter username to a field. The problem with this is the twitter username can change easily. So maybe have a field for them to manually supply their twitter username? It also only works for Public twitter profiles. I'll look into twitter API again and see if they provided a twitter id to twitter username API call that's not rate limited. Your only other alternative is to try using an rss feed reader to read their twitter feed (if that even still exists).
