Thanks for explaining this to me, Kyle. I hope I haven't broken protocol by asking you for a quote; if I did I apologize sincerely. I think I really just need to dig a bit deeper into the activity plug in and turn certain things off to accomplish what I need to do with this project.

I was thinking what might be a good idea for a future version would to be able to set up different instances of the activity module with different activity filters. This way you could have one module that was public on the front page with only certain activities showing, and then another instance for registered users that would show more activities. You'd specify a set of activity filters in the plug in and give it a unique name, and then specify that name as an option in the module.

Again, thanks as always for your quick and helpful responses!

It never hurts to ask. I used to take on custom project requests, but we've since then picked up a much larger userbase and more active community and unfortunately don't have the time anymore between support and maintaining existing incubator projects.

Hopefully next release should basically have all your concerns handled as will have field by field activity logging and will respect privacy settings. Just won't have the usergroup display feature as the activity doesn't have ACL and not sure how to even go about that ATM.
