Ok sounds good, we'll give that a shot, e-mailing the

[cb:config param="live_site" /]/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=confirm&confirmcode=[cbactivation]

address to the newly registered user's secondary (PEC) e-mail inbox.

(I am a tad surprised that it is not [cb:activationcode] or something like that in the URL, from what I've seen in other 'cb script' snippets, but ok let's see how it goes)

Substitution usage also gives direct access to database column values. cbactivation is the column name where the activation code is stored so you substitute it in as [cbactivation]. You can basically do this for every column in _comprofiler database table.
