All groups menu failed to create! was created by emanuelr
Hi,

While trying to create a menu link to all groups or all my groups pages I get the error message "All groups menu failed to create!".

I managed to set a module which presents "My group" easily, but a menu item is requested by most of my users.

By the way, a related idea: an automatic sub-menu with "My groups" which will let the user a direct link to each of his/her groups...

It can fail if such a menu item already exists. Menu alias must be unique so perhaps you've a menu item with all-groups alias already. Be sure to check within Joomla Menus > Your Menu > CB GroupJive and ensure your menu item wasn't already created.

Hi Kyle,
I checked and there is no menu item with the alias 'all-groups'.

The links used in the variety of CB and GJ are:
Code:
option=com_comprofiler&task=pluginclass&plugin=cbgroupjive option=com_comprofiler&task=pluginclass&plugin=cbgroupjive&action=panel option=com_comprofiler&task=pluginclass&plugin=cbgroupjive&action=overview&func=message option=com_comprofiler&task=pluginclass&plugin=cbgroupjive&action=categories&func=all option=com_comprofiler&task=pluginclass&plugin=cbgroupjive&action=categories&func=show&cat=2 option=com_comprofiler&task=userslist option=com_comprofiler option=com_comprofiler&task=pluginclass&plugin=cbgroupjive&action=groups&func=all

Maybe you can tell me what should be the url to ALL MY GROUPS and I'll set it manually by duplicating one of the menu items and set the URL...

Thanks,
Emanuel

The URL for "All My Groups" is as follows.

index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=pluginclass&plugin=cbgroupjive&action=groups&func=allmy

Check the Trash of your Menus and clear any trashed menu items as a trashed menu item could also conflict. Aside from that I don't know what more to tell you as is working fine in my tests and the only reason for it not to is if the alias exists already.

Hi Kyle,
I deleted all the trashed menu items, but it didn't help.

The link you provided with the func=allmy works (I set it as an external link), but it gives me the group I'm the owner's of.
I need a simple link to all of the groups the user is a member of, as an owner or as a joined member.

Emanuel

There is no link for all the groups the user is a member of. There's allmy and all only. Next release will have an alljoined. See below existing forge ticket for progress.
