Is it possible to enter an event in a Parent group and have it automatically populate for its children?

I have some universal events that would be nice to only enter once and have them appear in parent and children lists.

Thanks.

Nope, all the content tabs are Group specific. Suggest simply adding the event to the Parent and leaving it there as there would be no need for it to be in the children groups (they need to join the parent to join the child group anyway so they should have access).

Thanks for the quick response. My hope was to avoid the native category tree so users wouldn't have to click multiple times. Your suggestion works if people are content to enter the group the same way each time, but not if they direct link via book marks or, in my case, direct menu link.

Perhaps that's something to be considered as a radio button option when creating events.

I guess I could set up the modules to display groups and parents on those menu items, so at least they'd be nearby.

Thanks again.

The GJ module, CB Activity, and/or the built-in GJ Notifications can all be used to help keep your users informed. All without having to hassle with duplicate content.
