Subscription Status/Payment Status/Activation Email

CB Version: 1.9
CBSubs Version: 3.0.0 GPL
CMS Version: Joomla 2.5.x
PHP Version: 5.4.15
Joomla SEF active ?: on
Any ACL or SEF components installed ? if yes, which ?: No

I'm having three issues all centered around the process of a user registering with the site, paying, and receiving an email containing their membership packet. Currently, when they get to the point where they select their package, they are able to go to PayPal and complete a payment. PayPal sends them back to the site as it should. The problem that I'm encountering is that their membership status is not being updated. The plan is set to put the user in the "client" user group but this is not happening either. When I check the payment status in the baskets section of CBSubs, it shows the payment status as "not initiated," although the payment indeed went through on PayPal's side. Further, it shows their individual user status as "Registered, Unpaid". Finally, after registering, the user is not receiving the email as configured in the plan settings. Joomla can still send email, so that basic functionality is working at the CMS level. I believe that about covers it. Thank you so much for your assistance.

Is CBSubs publicly accessible? Ensure the Subscription tab within CB > Tab Management is published and public. Ensure CB Paid Subscriptions within CB > Plugin Management is published and public. Ensure your PayPal gateway is public accessible. Check within CBSubs > Notifications to ensure your PDT or IPN notification from PayPal was received properly to mark the basket as paid. Check CBSubs > History for around the time the purchase was made to see if any errors are present in the log.

Is CBSubs publicly accessible? --- Yes, it's the "Apply Now" menu item at the top.

Ensure the Subscription tab within CB > Tab Management is published and public. --- Yes, subscription tab is published and public.

Ensure CB Paid Subscriptions within CB > Plugin Management is published and public. --- Yes, CB Paid Subscriptions plugin is published and public.

Ensure your PayPal gateway is public accessible. --- I'm not sure what you mean. If you're asking if the PayPal gateway is published, yes it is. All of the parameters including identity token and account email are correct, and we're currently receiving payments, it's just that nothing else works in relation to the transaction. No group assignment, no email to user or admin, etc.

Check within CBSubs > Notifications to ensure your PDT or IPN notification from PayPal was received properly to mark the basket as paid. --- The notifications area of CBSubs is populated with numerous items PayPal IPN notifications, including both completed payments and refunds. However, the status in the Baskets is "Not Initiated" and for each there is an option to pay, even though the proposed payment has already occured.

I wasn't able to decipher anything by looking through the error log, although there could be something that I don't know how to recognize.

Does any of this help?

Thanks,
Jordan

Please check within your PayPal account and see if the payment is pending. It's possible their payment is going under payment review or if they paid by check through PayPal it takes a few days.
