Hi,

We're getting an error during the registration process when the user types in the username they want to use. This problem is intermittent and inconsistent, some users register with no problems, others get the error and cannot register. The current environment is Joomla 2.5.11 with CB 1.9 and the Quickstart Pro package.

The error is:

"Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser."


I have tried the following:

1. Disabled Anti-Spoof checking
2. Verified that Joomla and the VPS are using the same timezone
3. Disabled all plugins within CB (problem exists with all plugins disabled)
4.Verified login module is only in one position (top)
5. Disabled caching, cleared cache
6. restarted the web service

The problem continues intermittently throughout all of these changes. We are currently picking up a lot of new users and we're being flooded with emails due to this problem. Any ideas??!

It's a non-blocking error. They should be able to register regardless of what the ajax username/email checkers complain about. Please search forums with "Session expired or cookies" keywords as this has been addressed already multiple times.
