Hi,

We are using community builder for an intranet.

Moderators are able to update 2 fields which the standard users cannot (Holiday Left & Holiday Entitlement) While standard users can see these fields, they cannot update them.

This is working fine however I need to make these fields visible to only that logged in user so other staff can't see other users holiday entitlement (with the exception of moderators)

We have the privacy plugin but i cannot see a way to hide this field from other users and show only for the user that is logged in.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Set the default privacy for a field to Private and will do exactly what you're wanting (only visible to Self and to CB Moderators). If the profile has already been saved with a privacy setting other than default then you'll need to edit the user manually and change it to Private. With latest release you can enable privacy controls for moderators only so only moderators can set the privacy for the field.

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

This has worked in that moderators can view everyone fields but standard users can only view their own.

My only problem now is that moderators aren't able to update the holiday fields, it just doesn't let you select or type in the field. I have tried all the combinations of edit setting but it doesn't seem to work.

Ensure the field isn't set to be Read Only within CB > Field Management.
