When I install UDDEIM on Joomla 3.1.1 I get now menu displayed in the back end. I tried following topic #226623 but this does not work. Any other suggestions on how to get this resolved.
With that said it sounds like corrupt menu items. To fix them you need to navigate to the _menus database table. Find UddeIMs menu items (probably at the very end), delete them, then re-install UddeIM.
