How to allow uers to edit a CB profile field from a module

I believe this is possible by installing plug_cbcorefieldsajax-160.zip and bot_cbcontent_j25-220.zip and then setting the Ajax prefs on the CB files (I have set them all to enabled and for registered users)

I then created a custom HTML Module with just the text

[cb:userfield field="cb_mood" formatting="div" /]

as per some information I found in the forums, yet all I see on the web page is that is just displays that text and not an edit.

Should I miss out the " symbols? is it really userfield field

Please explain how to use this add on!

(Did I mention I really think some simple user documents for each plug in might be handy!)

You need CB Content Module, not the bot as the bot is only designed and tested for Joomla articles, then create a new module and add your substitution to it. You need to have the field set to be Ajax on profile view. You can find substitution usage information in the below tutorial.

I agree, we need to improve on our documentation and we're working to do just that. We're also looking into better ways to deliver the documentation. We've numerous plans to improve this that we've discussed internally. More will come after CB 2.0, but for now CB 2.0 is our priority.
