'add more' button and searching for several fields within one field in user lists

11 years 3 months ago #230751 by ninokorinteli
Hi,
Is that possible at the registration or profile filling stage to have 'add more' button, with the function to allow one more field/or a set of fields to load (organized in one tab?), something like 'add value' button in the dropdown/multiselect checkboxes field?

or better to use checkbox with conditional to load another tab or field once it's checked?

Plus in the user lists - is that possible to search several fields within one field?

example: user fills in information in the profile on 3 projects, say there are 3 separate text fields: cb_projectname1; cb_projectname2; cb_projectname3;
cb_projectname2 is loaded after cb_projectname1 is filled and add more button/checkbox selected, and same with cb_projectname3;

in user lists - a special text field called 'PROJECT NAME' created to display as ONE search field for cb_projectname1, cb_projectname2 and cb_projectname3, in other words value entered in 'PROJECT NAME' searches all those 3 fields, and if it matches any then results are displayed. May be with substitutes? but i don't know how, pls help
Thanks in advance
Nino

No, not currently but it's planned for CB 2.0.

This is your only solution at this time. Have multiple fields and simply condition them to show/hide as needed.

In userlist, no not currently but it's planned for CB 2.0. However it can be done using the CB Search Bot and searching for users using the Joomla search module as it'll check the value they supplied against every field you've set for it to search.
