I was wondering if anyone else was having the following issue and how you sorted it?
I have been using CB Connect on my site for a while and never noticed this problem before. However that does not mean it has not been there all the time in past versions. I also only use the Facebook integration so I have not tested if this also happens with Google and Twitter.
When my site is visited as an unsecured site http all works fine however if the pages is visited as a https then this is where the problem is found.
When the user clicks to login via Facebook I am directed to Facebook and back again to my site. It then gets stuck in a loop.
After a while the Firefox browser stops loading the page and warns that the page is redirecting in a way that will never end.
If I then reload the page the first Joomla system message says "You have successfully logged in" I also get a lot of success messages saying "Account linked successfully".
Has anyone else experienced this never ending loop?
Ensure live_site within configuration.php is blank. Decide if you're going to use https or http then stick to it (don't do back and forth swapping). Ensure your redirect URLs within your social site applications are correct. Review the below tutorials to ensure your configuration is correct.
If they're registering fine then check your login and/or registration redirect URLs within CB Connect configuration to ensure they're being sent to the correct URL.
