Backend Translation of Community Builder 1.9

11 years 3 months ago #231021 by calinblade
Hello community

I've been searching between the existing topics but i wasnt able to find an answer to my needs.

I am trying to find out a way to translate the Community Builder and GroupGive Backend Menu in Joomla 3. (even using overrides, but in that case I need the name of the Constants used into that menu.

I also find a possible solution of adding some items into a so called "admin-languages" file which I am not able to find within the Joomla 3 file strcture.

Could anyone please help me?

Please find attached.

Thank you so much.

What menu specifically are you trying to translate? The CB Admin Nav module or Components > Community Builder? CB Admin Nav uses the below language strings which you can add to your CB language files.

'Categories' => 'Categories',
'Groups' => 'Groups',
'Users' => 'Users',
'Invites' => 'Invites',
'Integrations' => 'Integrations',
'Menus' => 'Menus',
'Plugin' => 'Plugin',

'Paid Subscriptions' => 'Paid Subscriptions',
'Settings' => 'Settings',
'Gateways' => 'Gateways',
'Plans' => 'Plans',
'Subscriptions' => 'Subscriptions',
'Baskets' => 'Baskets',
'Payments' => 'Payments',
'Notifications' => 'Notifications',
'Currencies' => 'Currencies',
'Statistics' => 'Statistics',

'Donations' => 'Donations',

'Payments Center' => 'Payments Center',
'Taxes' => 'Taxes',

You should add them to your cbteamplugins language file as needed. You should not edit the default language file as your changes will be lost when installing new version of CB. You can find the English language plugin below, which can be changed safely.

You can find more on language usage below.

Hello Kyle

Thank you for your reply. But I have to mention that I already installed the CB Romanian Plugin. I used CB Plugin installation and it translated the content of the CB.

Do you think that it would be good to uninstall the CB Romanian plugin and install it back?

Do you thnk that this plugin would translate that admin menu too?

Or do you think I would copy the en_GB CB translation files usin Transifex and try to translate all by myself?

Or, where could I find the CB Admin Menu CONSTANT_NAMES ? in that case I could use OVERRIDES.

But it didn't translated the CB and GroupJive MENU in the admin.

I am having hard times doing that.

I attached at the beginning of this post the issue I am having.

Please help.

Thank you.

All the best
Calin
