simple auto action related to checkbox field not firing

I've got some really complex auto actions working, so let me know if you see why this isn't working. If the field [cb_vendor] is set to 1 (it's a single checkbox) then the user should be subscribed to the Vendor Reps acymailing list. Since this is a new field, I'm having it fire whenever someone's profile is saved or created in front or backend.

Does it work fine if you remove the conditional? That's often the most problematic spot. Debugging being enabled should also var dump when a conditional fails. Ensure debug mode and maximum error reporting are enabled in Joomla global configuration when testing.
