I've created the standard registration form with drop-down options, but based on the choice, I want a different page to show up before they click register where I ask them different information, for example: how long they have worked for the county and what their certification is in (math, science, reading, etc). If they are a student, I want to know things such as what grade they are in and who is their homeroom teacher. How can I do this PRIOR to them clicking on the registration box.

Sounds like you need CB Conditional so you can show additional fields based off their selection in the dropdown. Please see the below regarding CB Conditional to get started.

I 'tried' to follow the steps in using the conditional, but when I checked on the front end....it does not show the changes. For example....(on the front end) when a student clicks student, I want to know his expected degree and school/university that they go to. I do not want the fields 'functional role' or 'company' to show up.

Similary, if a 'professional' choice is made, I don't want to know what school they are going to or when they expect to graduate. I've believed I followed the steps correctly, but I am really new at this. Can you give me some additional guidance?

Here is the page/link I am referring to : bprsny.org/component/comprofiler/registers.html

It's not working due to a fatal JS error caused by a bug in a previous CB Conditional release. I've released CB Conditional 3.0.10, which fixes this. Please upgrade and see if your issue persists.

I tried to download this plugin, however, I keep getting an error message: Warning
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file

I am trying to download the update from 8/16, so it is suppose to be the most recent....I am getting the same error message if I try to update the CB Auto Actions plugin. Any idea what's going on?

Both the CB Conditional and the CB Auto Actions add-ons are CB Plugins.

All CB Plugins are installed and published using the CB Plugin Manager and not the Joomla extension installer.
