Hi, I managed to set up CB with CB Connect today. I only want to use Facebook as the only social network to link to, because my website is aimed at a small community and this function is here to easen them the resitration proces and mainly avatár uploading. Unfortunatelly CB does not get avatars from Facebook.
I've looked up several topics here regarding this issue, but those were mostly outdated or did not have the right solution for me.
I tried to link my admin account with FB, FB ID field got populated, but avatar (profile Picture) was not downloaded. I tried to map Profile Picture URL > Profile Image, but that wasn't working either. I'm using bundled GD2 library, which seems to be working fine. Otherwise my config is pretty much default (on Windows Server 2012 / IIS 8 FastCGI / PHP 5.4.15 / MySQL 5.6.11)
What should I check or try to make importing of avatars work? Thanks
CB Connect does not map fields when using Link. You must Register using CB Connect for it to pull Facebook data. When you use Link you're just linking the two accounts together to allow the user to login via Facebook as well as use the various Facebook social plugins.
Do not map "Profile Picture URL" to "Profile Image" either, I already warn you of this directly in field mapping; this is done automatically and mapping this will do nothing but break it for new registrations.
