How do I setup language specific date formats? There is only one single field in the configuration tab. I searched the forum but there came nothing up that would help and the documentation does not mention it either.

cheers

There's no such feature. It'll always format it according to the date parameter within CB > Configuration > General.

Thanks for the quick answer. But is that really true? Im sure Im not the only one setting up a multilang site with CB. Im really surprised that there is no solution yet especially because it is so easy to accomplish - just let the user select one of the Joomla native formats like DATE_FORMAT_LC and the problem is solved ...
I just cant torture my 5 different language users with the same date - they simply dont know what 12/11/13 means (or something similar). I definitely need a solution.

I've created the below feature ticket to implement a language define for usage in your CB language files to specify a date format for next release. This would allow different dates for different languages.
