I have attached the subscriptions tab for a site under testing.

It appears one can either renew the membership or take out one or more of the additional plans - BUT NOT BOTH.

It seems to be that pressing a button (Renew or the Upgrade one at the bottom) sets the focus on that part of the tab. Is there a way to stay generic, that is allow a user to select any option or options (including Renew) and then handle the batch by hitting the Upgrade button at the bottom?

You can't renew and upgrade at the same time. There's no workaround for this as this is how it's designed. We've plans to improve this in a future release though so they can be purchased together.

Kyle, just exploring this one stage further. Can a subscriber to two plans (one of which is the child of the other) renew both in the same transaction? If so, how?

Have attached an image.

Nope, you can't renew multiple plans at once. This is also planned for a future release.
