Hello Support

For a long time I assumed in my ignorance that "Total Posts" on a users profile referred to the Total Blog Posts. Then I looked in the User Manual again and discovered that it actually referees to the Total Forum Posts.

My question is there a way to have a total number of Blog posts display on a User Profile.

To make things a little more tricky I am Running "EasyBlog" so the total would need to come from there!

I have the "CB/Easyblog" plugin running and working!

A search of the User manual for Blog Posts gives me no result!

thanks

Paul

Nothing built in to do this as we have no built-in integration for easyblog.

I guess you can use the CB Query field plugin to write a query that gets this count for you, but you really need to understand how the easyblog database storage works to do this.

OK thanks for that

If I get around to it i will post over at Stack Ideas.

Maybe I can get it to work with some help.

It is a "Nice to have" thing but not essential.

If any one else has done this maybe they could post a solution.

thanks

Paul

I contacted the Stackidaeas team and they said that something like this was way down on their list of priorities. i.e. It is not going to happen.

They are very busy working on “Easy Social.” I guess if you wanted to throw some money at them or a programer they might do a customisation for you...

If you find a solution please post back :-)

It's a simple database query supplied to CB Query Field. They should be able to tell you within 10 minutes a query to do this. I would do so my self, but I have no idea how their database is setup, sorry. An example as follows that maybe can help get you started.

Code:
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM `#__easyblogs` WHERE `user_id` = '[user_id]' AND `published` = 1

Please understand the above is just an example. I do not know how easyblogs database tables are setup.
