manage profile info in CB that is used by another extension?

Can you suggest the best way to have some custom profile fields in CB be used by another extension that requires those profile fields?

Instead of sending users to two places to update profile information, I want all profile information to be managed by CB. But another extension used on the site (that supports CB login/registration and display of CB profiles) has some profile fields that it requires.

Is there a way I can either (1) create a new CB Tab that will import and display the profile fields required by the other extension, or (2) create custom fields in CB for what the other extension requires, and then point the other extension to use those custom fields, or (3) is there another approach that would be a better solution?

You could use CB Auto Actions to push CB profile information to your other extensions. Using the after profile update and after registration triggers in a Query action you could query the database to update their profile information in your 3rd party extensions. If your 3rd party extensions have API you could use a Code action to use PHP to utilize the API. You could also pull profile information from your 3rd party extensions and display it on profile using a CB Query Field by querying the 3rd party extensions database table (this is display only).

Thanks Kyle - I think for this project, the best solution would be to work with the CB Auto Actions plugin along the lines that you suggested.
