cb subs plan free and then pay was created by deltafidesign
I would have a plan A that can be free for first 100 users for example then in future I would set it as payment plan but I want that all those 100 first users will never have to pay while user 101 and so on will start pay. Any solution?

Create a promotion using CBSubs Promotions that auto applies (non-code based) with a 100% discount then ensure it only applies to your specific plan. You can then set it to be usable only 100 times. This should give you exactly what you're wanting.

Not sure I had explained correctly before.

My Plan A should be a regular plan that users must renew every year, so only users from 101 forward, for example, will have to renew. I want instead that users till 100 will never have to renew.

I speak about a number of users (100) just for example. I could not need a limit number of users, I could just decide that next year for example the plan A will not be free longer and new users must pay it every year while old users will never have to pay it.

Is that my case?

I see, I don't think you can do that currently with Promotions as they're broken for renewals.

Best I can suggest then is create 2 copies of your CBSubs plan. Have the free lifetime copy of your plan remain active until you've 100 users subscribed. Once you do disable new subscriptions for it and enable new subscriptions for your paid plan.

Ok, thanks.

Making another parallel plan would not be my case. Too many complications with other things.

First of all I would ask you to consider this situation to add, if possible, a feature in future releases.

Now, my only solution would be this:

I set plan A with an "Different first period and price for Registration only" and set "First period pricing and validity" options to 0€ with "Initial validity duration" of 5 years for example.

So users will start register for free for 5 years.

Now, suppose that after 1 year I want to end this promotion and I will set Plan A as payment plan, no more free.

What will happen to old users? Will them still have 4 years free? Or will them too have to pay even if they registered according to 5 years free?

Such a feature already exists, it's just bugged. Ideally you'd be using a coupon that auto applies for the first 100 purchases and applies to renewals. However coupons that apply to renewals doesn't work at the moment. It should be fixed in next release.

Will them still have 4 years free?

Yes.
