You said before search the Userlist with the ID of 4 on the Username field. You should be able to adjust this as needed to search basic text fields, etc.. from a module.

It's a module that allows you to supply substitution supported text/HTML. You can download it from the Advanced downloads section. For usage information regarding it please see the CB Content Module Manual for download directly below the CB Content Module download.

You can add more search fields to your userlist by setting your fields to be searchable within CB > Field Management then editing your userlist within CB > List Management and adding those fields to a column or setting your userlist to display all searchable fields. This is outlined in detail within your CB documentation, which you can download from the Advanced downloads section.
