Is it possible to hide the profile page headings and the About[username]and display the article over the hole width of the page instead of half the page see attached

Edit the field and set its title not to display then set the field to display on 2 lines instead of 1.

That's the "User Profile Page Title" tab found in CB > Tab Management. Simply unpublish it and it'll be gone.
