I have the blogs tab enabled but there is no categories to select from to start a blog see attached

It normally displays 2 videos side by side, but you don't have enough width for it. You'll need to make the videos smaller or increase the content pane width for your Joomla template.

You did not configure CB Blogs correctly if this is the case. You need to create a parent level category to hold all your blog categories. Then add your blog categories to it. This is all done in Joomla content manager or K2 if using either of those models. Example setup as follows.
Blogs
- General
- Movies
- Games
Once the above is created you need to select Blogs as your section within CB Blogs > Config > Blogs > CMS.

No. It works completely from frontend Blogs tab after being configured. It provides blogging.
Is it possible to make a blog page up about a k2 category or a groupjive group?
Don't understand the question. If the model is set to K2 then it'll use K2 categories and K2 to store/display blogs. CB Blogs does not integrate with GJ in any way.

You can adjust the video size within GJ > Config > Integrations > Video > Publish and adjust width/height as needed.
