hi,

i dumped the following geodb to my database:

fa-technik.adfc.de/code/opengeodb/DE.sql

Now i would like to create a registration form where the user first needs to select a zip code and in the next field gets all town names for this zip code listed that he can choose again.

what do i neede to do. I installed alreday the query plugin and managed to create a query with your country tutorial.

thanks

CB doesn't have anything to do that. Yes, we've a CB Query Field but it is not going to dynamically update based off your zip code field value. It would take a page load to refresh its query and pull the new values.

Thanks Kyle.

Do you think itcould be realized with the conditional plugin and the tab based step registration.

So the zip code is entered on the first page and the names of the matching towns are listed in the second step.

I suppose you could use CB Conditional, but you'd have like 10,000 or more conditionals which is impossible as there's a ton of zip codes, countries, states, etc.. Your best option is to do what our below tutorial does using CB Query Field fieldtypes to provide an list of countries with support for optgroups.
