You can specify the default opened tab using &tab=TAB_NAME_OR_TAB_CLASS_OR_TAB_ID. Example as follows
index.php?option=com_comprofiler&tab=Articles
Alternative is if you always want a specific tab to be opened first you can just order it to be first so it'll always be the first tab selected.
