Set your WYSIWYG editor to TinyMCE within Joomla global configuration and see if issue persists. If it does try a different editor until it goes away. If still not working then check within Extensions > Plug-in Manager and ensure your editors plugin is enabled.

Do you have Virtuemart installed? If you do and you have Virtuemart 2 installed you need to delete the below file.
/components/com_virtuemart/virtuemart_parser.php
For whatever reason Virtuemart developers added it back in. My guess is so out of date plugins including it won't error, but all it's doing is causing issues detecting VM version via file exists check. The above file it self does nothing except throw a notice when included so there is no harm removing it when using Virtuemart 2.
