Currently, CB Blogs allows users to submit blog intro and blog full text. Is it possible to add fields with validation (similar to the function of other parts of CB) and push the content into a template. Ultimately, I'd like to utilize CB Blogs as a sort of content construction kit so that users can submit articles that will be formatted properly when submitted. If this were possible, CB Blogs could compete with Yoo Zoo, Form2Content, Content Builder, etc.
Because of the seamless integration with CB, this could be one of the best CCKs for Joomla.

No, do not try to use CB Blogs as a construction kit as you'll just be disappointed. It is not and never will be one. Use K2 or other extensions designed to be content construction kits. CB Blogs sole purpose is to provide simple blogging for your users.
