I noted during a CBJuice upload of offline data that organisation records listed on the backend User Manager display with the organisation name showing under the Name field. The organisation name is stored in a user-defined field in _comprofiler. This display "feature" occurs even when periods are in the normal name fields (as placeholders) in the imported data.

However if you subsequently edit and save such a record using CB's edit options the Organisation name no longer appears in the User Manager lists but is replaced by the values of the firstname and lastname fields.

We have firstname and lastname fields as required at registration as only non-organisation members are intended to self-register.

Is there any way we can retain the display of Organisation Name (when it exists) in the CB User Manager (while still allowing capture of genuine or placeholder info in the normal name fields)?

No idea how it's displaying your company name unless the company name has been stored to Joomlas Name database column. CB will always display Name. There's no changing this without editing core code or writing a plugin to add a new column.
