My site has only one category, which I call Private Groups. Each registered user can create their own private groups. In order for a user to create new and/or view existing groups, it takes two clicks through two pages. The first click lands them on a page which has the link called āPrivate Groupsā, along with words below it, āX Private Groupsā and āInviteā, neither of which are links. So in my case, there is no need for this intermediate page.
Is there a way to direct the user straight to the second Private Groups page, and eliminate this intermediate page?
Also, appended to each of the private group names (in addition to the category Private Groups) is the date of formation. I would like to eliminate this date. Is this possible?
Any advice on how to implement these changes would be greatly appreciated.

I don't understand what page you're seeing, sorry. Please provide a screenshot of what you're seeing and what you want to remove in it.

Yes, you'll need to edit the GJ template files and remove all of the date usages in the row displays. You can find the template files at the below location.
You can modify all of GJs frontend from the template locations as well.
