Hello,

I have a site whith qcm on computer science (for beginner). Today, questions, responses and scores are in external database.

Whith CB i am going to create field for score in cb-database. Maybe I should create a table in cb-database for question and response. I could use question and response in query field whith jointure on the groupejive. But I don't now if
the new table could be
  • backup when i do backup with akkeba backup
  • the new table will not delete when I upgrade joomla or community builder

Couldn't you just move your tables for your QCM to your Joomla database then point QCM to your Joomla database? As Joomla uses a prefix (normally jos_) for all tables this should work fine. Then you don't need to do any strange cross database synchronization, etc.. as it's all under 1 database now. At any rate if you still want to do this just create a new field within CB > Field Management and set it to Read Only then populate it with the score from your external database (or use a CB Query Field to dynamically query the score).
