Hello all. I have a group of "vendors" that I would like to allow to insert articles into category, "vendors_cat". However, I don't want them to be able to link to or attach other articles or images from the root directory into their article. Any suggestions on how this is done?

Fairly new at this so the easiest way gets the brownie points!!
Thanks in advance.

This is really a Joomla issue - CB has nothing to do with it.

From my experience in Joomla 2.5/3.X you can use the ACL protection to permit only specific groups to submit articles in specific Joomla categories.

The issue with uploading images and files can be handled with the JCE editor where you can create different profiles and even setup a root folder for each user - this way users will only see the files they upload.

Thanks Nant,

I got JCE and it seems to be working well with it. I'm leery of using too many plugins because I worry about one breaking the other, but they seem to get along well. Thanks for the tip.

I also found the plugins that put the "insert" buttons on the page and was able to disable them so they don't show up as an option anymore.

Great product. I'm glad I got it!
