I am interested in the possibility to have userlists combined with the privacy plugin, meaning that just right IN the list the user can decide, if the field is showing or not.
At the time it is only possible for the Profile-view, isn't it? Or is there a workaround or a plan, to make this possible in the coming weeks/months/years...

CB Privacy works on userlists perfectly fine. It'll hide the value if the user does not match the privacy setting. Searching users will always remove users if the privacy setting doesn't match.

Let's explain:
1 Userlist, public access, contains several extra fields, some of them are edited for private or connections.
Always all fields are shown...
The Plugin is "on" and the configuration is like default.
If I choose, private for the whole profile, it is working, but not for the fields....
Moderators and the users self is exempt from the privacy controls. Set privacy controls then login with a normal registered user or logout entirely and the fields should be hidden.

Profile privacy doesn't hide fields by default to allow userlists and other locations that are using CB API to still display field values. For profile privacy to hide fields you need to edit the Profile Privacy field in CB > Field Management and select what fields it should hide.
