Creating dependent fields in Registration Field

I would like to create a field that becomes either visible or compulsory when the previous pick list item is selected.

i.e If in a field you have 2 options 'A' or 'B'. If you select 'B', another field becomes visible that says 'please tick following box to confirm' with a check box.

Can this be done, and is there any documentation other than the bb1.9 manual.pdf, that would give more information on this topic?

Take a look at the CB Conditional plugin.
It should help you do what you want.
