How to insert the current date as default value in a field on registration.

I need to insert the current date in a custom field during the registration (like "registerDate" field). How I can do it?

Using CB Auto Actions you'll need to set the field value using jQuery and a date substitution. Aside from that you can't as default values don't support substitutions so you can't supply it a date substitution. Please see the below tutorial for substitution usage information. For CB Auto Actions you'll need to use a Code action with Method set to jQuery on the before registration form trigger.
